Has any body ever put one of these on?

Not too many people change the bumpers on the 997. Porsche sells an aero bumper, but suggests the rear spoiler too. I guess the aerodynamics would be disturbed without the rear spoiler.

Any thoughts?

How about a rear carrera wing. Porsche does not make on yet, but NR has one just like the 996 one. Any one put that on yet? Here is the link. http://nrauto.com/sub_index.asp?make...&spage=Spoiler
Than go to the side and scan down to 997 carrera wing.

 

Well I heard the same things...the front bumper should be mounted on the car with the reaar wing as well...yeah ask for an aftermarket wing

 

but the ruf 911 you can get it with front spoiler and the rear you can add if you want to. they don't mention any disturbance without the rear spoiler.
there could be truth to it, but i am not aware of it.

The rear wing that comes with the aero kit is pretty high. WAs told by a very reputable dealer that a "normal" size wing would not disturb aero dynamics. Now what "normal" size is is anyones guess.

That's interesting...probably we have to ask that to the EvoMS guys....they just mounted the GT3 front bumper to a 997 Turbo...we have to know if there are problems in aerodynamics...

 

this bumper cost a lot and I dont think it looks nice on the car it's nice to have the top part of the rear wing in carbon ,the mirror cover, fornt spoiler or any thing small but all the front bumper in carbon I think it doesn't look good

 

You could paint it. But that defeats the purpose.
