Techequiptment Roll Cage

I heard that the 996 and 997 Techequiptment Cages have the same part number. Can someone else confirm the fitment?

Thanks in advance,
Justin

any pics of this cage??? I always see it on Carnewal, but no pics. What is the difference between this one and the GT3 Rennsport roll cage, that I also see at Carnewal???

If the cab is narrower between the rear seats than a coupe, then no. In my experience, most cabs have completely different rear interior trim and it would make installation impossible. You should look into having one custom made. It would look sweet in a nickel plated finish.

Suncoast Motorsport has no cabrio rollbar on its site that I could find. The tequipment rollbar listed was for coupes only. It bolted into the seat belt mounts and had no diagonals, making it street usable. I have been looking for one for a while, but no success. One aftermarket site offered to fabricate a bar for $2400(!) and another stated that a cabrio bar would be available in a few months.

MichealL-
There are two different bars available one with out cross bars and one with for those who want to run harnesses in their cars, So basically its a hoop styled bar with no belt bar...

As far as the different part number on the so called 997 bar, I'm not sure, maybe Porsche uses a new part number series on 997 accessories. I can tell you I have the bar in my 997 C4 and it is the same bar used in the 996 applications. So it works in both cars as well as the GT3 seats from the 996 GT3. I have those in my car as well. Hope this helps...
