I'll have pics of the install and a video up this afternoon...It sounds really good. Mild at idle but when you stick it, the sounds turns into a high pitched whail. Almost a cup car sound.

Install Pics

Thanks to Sharkey and Mike at AWE for the help getting this system installed. I'm now running the AWE mufflers, headers and 300 cell cats. I've very happy with the sound. At WOT it's got a very exotic almost cup car whail but under light load/throttle it's pretty quiet. Throttle response is greatly improved and I can tell there is a bit more HP. Additional power was not my main concern as I really wanted a better sounding exhaust. The extra power is just an added benefit. I'll have a video of the sound posted as soon as I can get to it; it's been an exhausting weekend

A couple install notes/problems I encountered:
1. The o2 placement on the AWE cats is a bit different than the stock units so I had to kind of tug at the o2 sensor leads to get them to reach. Luckily the factory left a bit of slack so they just barely reached.

2. I need a lift Getting the headers installed with the new gaskets was quite a chor. Lining up the bolts, through the headers and through the gaskets then positioning them while laying on my back was no easy task. If I had a lift the install would have taken 3 hours as opposed to 6.

Like I said - I'll get a video of sound up shortly. I also did a full Milltek cat back on my S4 Avant (https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...104#post845104) so I've been a little busy. Hope you guys enjoy the pics and lemme know if you have any questions about the install.

Good luck with the exhaust system, I think you will be pleased with it. I have had mine(headers, cats & mufflers) on for 7000 miles already and would do it again. try adding on the Evo airbox, also.

Is the sound better than the gemballa exhaust and header? I am looking for a not so ricey sound and nothing with the sonic boom involved. I think my gemballa system sounds ricey. Could AWE sound the same or is it better? Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.

Aloha

Byron
