creaking in the rain

car makes a creaking noise when turning slow(pulling into the garage), hitting bumps, etc. but its much worse in the rain. any ideas on what this could be and why its worse in the wet (humid??). the sound seems like its coming from the front of the car or maybe near the windshield area. i cant tell if its the suspension or something in the dash. anyone??

I also hear creaking in my 2005 997S coupe when driving into my driveway and I think it is normal. As far as why it is worst when raining is a mystery to me as I have not noticed any difference when wet. Also the creaking seems to be coming from the sunroof, not the dash. Any other 997 owners notice this?

Sounds like it could be a suspension component!

My car did it and it was the windshield. It was louder in very cold days or in the rain. I had the windshield replaced due to a stone chip and now the creaking is gone or should I say not as bad.

update: i took the car to the dealer and they said its something with the bushings and they were going to have to replace the springs with updated ones. funny thing is they had to hose down the car with water in order to made the "creaking" louder. hopefully this fixes the problem.

glad to hear someone else is having the same problem... my car has been making a creaking sound also, coming from the passenger corner of my dash, however I noticed it after my winshield was replaced. Now I will have it inspected

My car creaks and rattles, very annoying...It all went away once I slaped on the some muffler bypass pipes though...
