I finaly got my X-51 headers installed, they have been sitting in my closet for weeks now. I went to lucent thursday morning, even though they were busy they pretty much started on my car right away and did a qiuck yet nice job.

Did you the headers improve power? I've been thinking about doing the same mod. I was also thinking about getting the IPD plenum to free things up on the front end? Were you thinking about doing that as well?

yup, Muffler bypass pipes, stock cats, x-51 headers.

 

I told my self that I would get a before dyno then install the headers but I never got a chance to. But as far as if I felt any power gains, I cant really tell. I will be getting a dyno hopefully soon though.
I was also thinking about going with a plenum, but I jsut cant seem to pull the trigger becuase I need more proof that this actually makes a difference. For around a 1000 bucks I would hope for atleast 5-10 whp.

 

Any CEL with the muffler bypass?

 

No not at all, you dont need to worry about CEL when messing with the mufflers. Now meessing with the cats is a difd story, if I were to put on cat bypass pipes then that would lead to a CEL forsure, inless ofcorse if I were to put on an O2 simulator.
