i dunno how much the champions, or the originals for that matter, weigh. however when i got my hre's i noticed that the car was quicker in the 1st 2 gears, at least it seemed quicker/more responsive. definitely a good investment

Here are the weights I had for some RS97's - pretty light!

Champion RS97 (forged) – total all 4 wheels 79 lbs, 6 oz.

Front 8.0 x 19 19 lbs. 8 oz
Rear 11.0 x 19 20 lbs. 3 oz.

Paris, Wheels are a definatley good thing to go with for the following reasons:
(a)better accelartion
(b) Car feels lighter
(c) Looks more sportier and aggressive

I like the Hre C20 competition wheel, they look good on the 997. I think it would look very aggressive on a 997 GT silver sporting C20 wheels in 19" with Seal Gray centres or GT silver centre.

Fwiw, the Kinesis 110's come in around 18/20 lbs in 19 " This is a meaningful upgrade but would be even better if there were lighter rotors available to round out the package at a reasonable cost. I just cannot justify the expense of the ceramics. The figure usualy given for a significant drop in unsprung weight is 30 lbs total. I was able to achieve this on my M3 w BBS wheels and Euro rotors for under $4k and was a very happy camper.

I have Forgeline ZX3R's 18x9, 18x12. I weighed them myself on a bathroom scale(don't know how accurate) and I got 20.1 lbs front & 22 lbs rear.
