I used InterCity Lines in early March to transport my newly acquired 997S from Houston to LA. They did a great great. They might be a bit more money than the 'average' transport company but in my opinion well worth it.

DAS Auto shipping. Incredible. www.dasautoshippers.com They are the only company listed on eBay as a preferred auto shipper. I just shipped a car with them and it was perfect.

I used Thomas Sunday from Northern Virginia to the SF Bay area. Excellent service. Covered carrier and door to door.

I used a firm that I found on the site below. It took 9 days in an enclosed trailer form FL to MI, but the car showed up in great shape. $1290 was the price.

This is by no means an endorsement of the site, but I used it, and things worked out ok for me.

Check the reviews, and call the company before deciding. I spoke with 5 different places before making my decision.

Wizard motorsport 704-263-9993. We try and use them for all shipping, Alan is the guy to talk to, tell him Kyle from brandywine porsche sent you. I have had him take a few cars from PA to CA for me, including a Turbo S coupe and he has done a few CGTs for me aswell. And his pricing is good.

Like I said in my previous reply I used InterCity in early March. You'll be pleased w/ their service. Of course a lot of it depends on the driving team. I was really fortunate and had a great team deliver my car. They called me via cell phone on a regular basis letting me know their ETA and location. My car was treated really nice (pampered and covered inside the enclosed carrier). They couldn't get their rig onto my street due to hills so we agreed on a spot close by that was flat. I simply walked a block or so and met the truck as it pulled up. You can call the main office to get GPS location data if you're really annal.

Good luck and congratulations on your 'new' ride.

Thanks for the words of confidence. I look forward to seeing how the experience plays out. No new ride on this trip, just a vehicle relocation.

Intercity or Passport.

DAS is horrible. They actually lost a car of mine one time for over a week. I have two personal horror stories about them and a very good friend of mine is still in a lawsuit with them over how his car miraculously had an extra 100 miles on it from the time he shipped it until it arrived at the other address... plus a blown turbo.
