More problems with my Evoms SC...=(
Just a ridiculous situation IMO. This guys good at complaining, but not too good at doing anything about it. Buying a new car is not the way to deal with what you already committed to (ie an EVOMS SC)

Paris' kit was purchased well before the bracket update. In terms of the car losing power, there are two things that I am thinking in regards to that. First, I know for a fact that the car does not have the ECU tuning specific to that supercharger. That is problem one. Secondly, Paris said that he drove the car for 100km with no problem and then all of a sudden the car lost power and threw check engine lights. To me that sounds like a boost leak or possibly some other component failing. Looks like he is set on putting his car back to stock so we are going to re-flash his ECU back to OEM. It is too bad, for as much time and money as he has invested all of these issues could be solved in one day.
Dear Nate... with al due respect, are you for real?
I personally dropped the ECU at WHEELS BOUTIQUE in Miami when I paid for my brother's (Paris) Supercharger. And the owner from Wheel's Boutique said you already had all the information from the ECU to re-flash it from EVO STAGE IV to EVO SC. It looks like there's a lack of communication between you (EVO) and your dealers (Wheel's Boutique). I have invoice as a proof of purchase and the ECU that was sent over FEDEX OVERNIGHT.
I'm also a witness of how the supercharged arrived from your supplier (Vortech I believe), with a serial numer #77 (I believe). And we had to send it back at OUR expense to have it changed. It was an used part, definetly. (that's the fact... not the brand or number)
I'm not trying to make any Oprah talk show kind of argument... but the fact is that the Supercharger was installed by professionals that did already modded lot of other cars with kits of up to 700BHP and never had and issue. And I know my brother... he takes care of his car more than anybody could ever imagine... that's why he bought a new one. How can you trust a car that's been heavily modded and a Check Engine light comes up and has little to no help from you.
Again... this should not be happening.
I'm really dissapointed with the way you want to treat this matter Nate. Why can't people over the forums know about the issues and lack of communication that you have with my brother? Also that EVERY SINGLE PURCHASE that he made from EVO came with something wrong... name it mirrors, exhaust tips, supercharger core. And the VERY BEST PART OF IT... WE HAVE TO PAY SHIPPING X 3 to get things fixed... You should be paying for your own mistakes, not the customer. I don't buy that marketing sale policy of you... not me. At least that's not the way I treat my clients.
JUST MY 2 CENTS and my brother's thousands....
Regards.
Federico

I don't understand why you keep purchasing from evoms when you have had soo many problems. If they treated me as such it would have been the last purchase I would have made from them.
I also had a problem with my one and only purchase from evoms, it was a hassle just to get someone to respond to the problem but it was eventually handled. the way my minor issue was handled I had would have much reservation to purchasing a major purchase such as a sc kit, out of the country? no way.

I have had great luck with EVO and my supercharger has been great. The dealer who installed it the first time was somewhat incompetent. EVO was great and had my car sent to another dealer in the area at no expense to myself. Problem solved and it's been great.
I'm guessing 99% of supercharger issues are related to the install. EVO has sold well over a hundred of these kits and everyone seems happy. As simple as the supercharger setup is, there is still a lot that can go wrong with the install (ie my first installer).

Hi, a friend of mine also has a 996 S and since it's out of warranty he is thinking of installing a supercharger.
Since you have personal experiences with EVO , would you mind answering a few questions when you have some time ?
- How much for the quipment , and ~ how much to install ,
- approximately how many hp can he expect,
- and are there any guarantees from EVO ?
He is considering Ruf, but I understand EVO is a lot cheaper .What are the advantages of paying more for the Ruf ?
Thanks .
Hopefully EVO takes these negative posts as a learning opportunity and makes some changes to their customer support and shipping departments/proceedures. Seems like a good company but posts like the ones we've been reading can easily kill a lot potential business. Making/having a customer pay for your shipping mistakes is a big mistake if you ask me.

PM vipertestarossa (Ron) He is in NJ and can Get and install the SC kit. He is installing mine over the winter.
I am not sure that you guys are getting the full story. NONE of these parts were purchased from Evo directly. They were purchased from an EVO distributor (3rd party). Nobody is perfect, but I don't see Evo being as much at fault as the people who sold them the parts.
It's not third party. It's an official distributor that has direct contact with the company. And EVO is as much as faulty as the people who sold this parts. Because they are behind everything and should have more control on who is selling and representing their products. Some parts were on back order and were ordered directly from the Dealer to EVOMS... like the mirrors and exhaust tips.
Trust me on this one... If I have a client that complaints about one of my branches they'd be in serious trouble with me... but that's just me.
I know my product and services and I also know that things can go wrong, nobody is perfect. But when things go wrong is when they can actually go better... with PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE... meaning that the client will have no expense at all because of company neglicence.
That is RULE #1 for keeping a client.
Not a CEL, Not a bad shipped mirror or exhaust tips. We know things can go wrong... the point here is HOW IT'S FIXED AND TREATED.

whos name is on the product? due diligence should be done to make sure the other companies that are handling your products are reputable and are trained to know what goes into your kits. too much to ask? I don't buy the, "I didn't handle it so it's not my fault attitude."
