Respraying my 997 - What Color?

Gents, I'm thinking about respraying a 997 C2S which is currently in a boring factory color. There is limited availability of manual transmissions in Singapore where I currently reside which is why rather than waiting for the "perfect" 6-speed car to show up (could be months), I'm going to take what's available and repaint it. The car in question is quite well optioned except for the color.

I thought that since I'm respraying it, I might as well go for something unique. Was thinking either a historic Porsche color (looking for help from the old timers here), or something away from the Porsche line that is aesthetically pleasing. I definitely DON'T want bright Lambo or "hey look at me" colors - orange, green, etc. I'm looking for something unique and fun, but relatively muted. A nice shade of blue or grey for example. Either a metallic or flat shade is fine (although I always find metallic more fun given how the sun plays around with the paint).

I'm looking forward to seeing what colors resonate with y'all. Pictures are worth a thousand words.

Thanks in advance.

A couple of months ago bro. The sale of the C2S was a precursor to the move. Missing the Slate Grey. Was thinking of respraying to Slate Grey (truth be told, still am), but thought I'd take this opportunity to see the "best of" colors available.

Have you thought of what this will do to the resale/value of the car? Personally, I would never purchase a recent model year car that has been re-painted. Too skeptical as to why? and what its hiding. Also, the re-paint job will NEVER come close to the original quality or cover all the hidden crevaces. Good luck, but no thanks for me.....

Yes, I understand the impact on resale and am willing to deal with it.

Please DON'T change this thread into one discussing the virtues of a repaint. I've made my decision. I just need to figure out the "right" color.

Back on point.

OK.....Just wanted to give some food for thought. However, with that being said,.....you could also look up Harely Davisdon colors. There is an apparent tie between Porsch and Harley. My next P-car will be in Pearl Yellow, which is a Harley color. This is a metallic yellow with a pearlescent look.... It's really quite stunning. However, it would stand out in traffic. What color is you car now???
