ceramic Brakes??
I would suggest you consider the Brembo kit. Two piece rotors with alloy hats, 6 piston front and 4 piston rear calipers, better pads, steel braided lines.
About half the cost of the ceramics, stellar performance and significant weight reduction over the OEM steelies. I love mine. Did the fronts, and have just ordered the rear they are so good.

i have factory ceramics, they were a $8,150.00 option. I dont track the car so the benefit i get is the yellow calipers are a different look and the brake life is greatly extended. They perform poorly when wet and they tend to squeal. i wouldn't do it again.
As for the brakes making noise, mine have never made a peep, no matter what kind of brake pressure I am using from light braking to slow down to being on the verge of ABS intervention they have been totally silent (but then I never had a brake squeaking problem during all my years with iron rotor brakes).
The striking looks of the yellow calipers hiding behind my Slate grey painted rims, the high tech look of the stainless steel hats and fasteners, the 37 pound reduction in unsprung weight, the consistently rock hard pedal feel on every brake application; PCCB’s are at the very top of my option list, I wouldn’t buy another P-car without them.

I’m sorry to hear your disappointment at PCCB’s. I have had them now for over 11,000 miles and have never had an issue with poor braking performance when driving in the rain, even pouring rain and standing water. Only after washing the car and having soaked the wheels and brakes as part of the cleaning process do the brakes offer poor performance while moving the car into the garage to dry off the vehicle.

I too have PCCB's on my 2005 997S.
No noise, minimal dust, no rust after washing and they perform flawlessly (wet or dry). Oh ya . . . the yellow paint looks great.
I do however think it's a too much $$$$$ to convert after the fact.
Racers don't use them because of the cost to repad or rerotor. Metal rotors cost next to nothing compared to ceramic.

I am not complaining as I didnt pay for them, they were on the car when i bought it. have had limited experience with the stock brakes but i will say my ceramic brakes do squeak & squeal.

Do they make noise when cold or after some usage?
You might want to pay a visit to your local Porsche dealer and have them looked at. You might have debri (ie. metallic) on either your rotor or pad.
