HELP: smogging a Gemballa Powerkit (San Diego)

Hello,

I may be picking up a car from out of state with the Gemballa Power Kit consisting of headers, sports cat and exhaust. I need to know if the car will pass California Smog Inspection.

If not, is there anyone in San Diego with a set of spare stock Cat+Exhaust I may be able to swap temporarily for the inspection?

PLEASE HELP ! thanks !

Check w/ J1SD on rennlist.com on the 997 forum. Can't remember if he also goes by the same screen name on this this forum. He's also in San Diego and just did a Tubi exhaust upgrade. He might be able to loan you his stock equipment.

Before you put a stock system back on have a 'pre test' done at a 'friendly' smog station. If it's a 200 cel cat it might just pass emissons testing. The visual inspection part is totally dependent on the inspector's throughness.

Worth a try . . . . Good Luck!
