Anyone else place deposits on ZR1s? Did they give you a date?

A few emails to dealers 9 months back, and all the responses amounted to "we would take your deposit, but we will not guarantee anything (like a car, a price, or anything else)". So I gave up.

Placed a deposit not too long ago. Apparently the first is staying with the owner of the dealership. Second allocation is mine. This dealership has been very straight forward so far. MSRP and no premiums. I guess well just have to wait and see.... Dates have not been confirmed other than the one the owner of the dealership is getting. The sales manager thinks he could get another allocation for this year but definitely next year. As a matter of fact, I don't even know options, price etc... Anybody have any info or are they all still speculations.. from the response on this forum, looks like most are sitting tight. ZR1 just seems too good to pass up... ceramic brake option on any other car like ferraris or porsches, added to the price of a base Z06 easily justifies the price.. And its definitely more reliable and less expensive than a lingenfelter modifications.

I have heard that June 1st will be the day that allocations are given to dealers. But then again that's just what I read over at the corvette forum.

Would you know how many were they expecting and how many people are in line? Locally, I know of 3 comming, all of which are sold. I figure just a handfull will make it to town, being a small market and all. I may have to go outside the state.
