Car is a 1998 Camaro Z28 and after years of waiting, I've finally started the serious modding. First thing is Pacesetter Longtube Headers out a SLP Loudmouth.

Video shows how the exhaust sounded 4 years ago when it was brand new and just installed, and then with the new exhaust installed.

I love this thing. I drove a bunch of miles in it this weekend, and loved every second of it.

Oh and I need to do a little tweak with the exhaust pipes, they aren't level anymore.

very cool. a friend of mine has a 99 z28 with a big cam and pacesetter headers and some sort of catback. with a stalled auto and runs 11.90's. yours should be right there i would guess. are you doing any heads at the same time?

 

No heads for now at least. I figure I'll be around 390rwhp. That's enough for me until the bug bites me again, than I'll look at heads.

 

yeah my buddies made 392rwhp through the auto with stock heads. he does have an ls6 intake though.

Sounds like a monster. Will sound even better when cammed.

 

Yeah that's definately a loud setup. If you can deal with the rasp at cruise it sounds good up top.

Just have to pick and choose your spots because it attracts all sorts of attention. Neighbor has a similar setup on his Z.
