is anyone on the 6 taking delivery of one of these or has driven one yet? i'm curious as to what everyone thinks of it. I think it looks frigging awsome, and if the specs in the motor trend review are accurate, they spent the money on the right places (aero, susp, unsprung weight reduction).

As far as I know the only one that has been delivered to date was Hennessey's that was campaigned in the One Lap of America. I saw it run at Carolina Motorsports Park and it had serious track presence. It won a majority of the road course events, but got behind the 8 ball out of the gate because of a 42nd finish in the wet skidpad event.

I enjoyed watching it lap more than the rest of the field, especially the ho-hum GTR.

Mark Davia (sp?) in the 996TT won for the 5th consecutive time. By all accounts he is a smooth and consistent driver w/ a fast and reliable sled.

 

Actually, I heard Hennessey's was the second one delivered. The first went to the SRT engineer that drove the Challenger SRT in the One Lap.

Not sure about about Henessey but this is number 3 it was at Tail of the Dragon on the 16th along w/ 2 other pre-production 09 vipers, their VIN's were 3,4,5.....so this ACR might actually be the first or second:

Yep, I heard there was a whole slew of Vipers stopping both auto and foot traffic in Gatlinburg last weekend.

I know Hennessey listed his ACR on ebay *during* the One Lap for 117K. And his was red with the driver's stripe just like that one up top.

Also, I know of one other one black w/ red stripes that has been delivered. Many people that placed orders last year are getting antsy as their 08 cars will apparently be delivered just before the new MY.
