Ford GT
Someone mentioned colors vs demand. Where does the tungsten rate in comparison to the colors mentioned? I'd like to add an FGT to my stable later on. I really like the tungsten, but all colors look good on that car.

Tungsten – 27% (543)
Gulf Blue (Heritage) – 17% (342)
Red – 17% (342)
Black – 15% (302)
White – 11% (221)

Yellow – 4% (80)
Tungsten is an 06' color only – not particularly rare and not as pricey as Heritage, Black or yellow. It does seem to command more $$ than the numbers would predict. It’s certainly more pricey than white or red (due to their production % in 2005). The 'other' silver (2005 Quicksilver) is much more rare and more expensive (it seems) on the current market than Tungsten.
FYI, the other ‘appearance’ variable are stripes – side and top – about 5% had side stripe delete from the factory (you can easily add or delete these yourself) and roughly 10% had top-stripe delete. Stripe delete cars (being more rare) fetch more $, especially the ones without the racing (top) stripes.
The other items that affect price are sound system (oddly, lack of the Mcintosh sound system raises used price, as does radio delete), BBS wheels (more) or not, and painted calipers (more). These are slight adders.
From my recent window shopping, one can expect to pay +/- $150K for a white/red low mileage (’05 stripe/stripe/4-option) car right now. $160K+ for Tungsten, another $5K for the Quicksilver variation and it goes up from there on 'most' similarly used Yellow, Black and certainly all Heritage versions (+/- $175K). There are a few yellow/black/Heritage cars with very low (100's or delivery) miles out there at the moment - all > $180K.
Note - mileage is critical to price. Prices I'm seeing above are < 5K miles. Watch for crash/repair cars.

I found blue one with stripes, heffner ( spelling unsure of) pulley, sub woofer relocation, billet arms, new spring rates, lowered, track alignment, oil and tranny coolers, engine compartment thermo controled fire system... Sparco harnesses and new tires
For about the numbers listed above ,,
Sounds like a reasonable deal to me????

I'd personally aim for a stock example. (then again, I wouldn't track a GT anyway).
+1 I would stay away from an obvious tracked car.(Meaning more than once or twice a season)
Here is one with the "pretty" wheels. and one with a functional set up! The second one is mine and is running Hoosier R6 tires on the optional light BBS wheels, out of necessity. These cars are twitchy with the stock set up on normal tires but damn near impossible with upgrades
And if you're in the market you would be hard pressed to deal with a finer gentleman than Shelby at Elite Auto. He deals in more GT's than any Ford Dealer has to date in the U.S. While I did not buy my car through Shelby I wouldn't hesitate to do so as he has been helpful with information and advice along the way. Again, no affiliation just a recommendation.
