Availability of ZR1 Corvettes??

a buddy of mine is looking for a zr1 but isn't having any luck. i haven't followed this car much but from looking at ebay it appears that the first ones are just showing up now and are pretty well bid. does anyone know of dealer availability without a markup anywhere? thanks.

$10k over seems to be the current market more or less. There has been some offered and traded there. There are still several for sale at higher prices that have been sitting. Patience will get one at or close to MSRP - IMO.

snakeplissken is infamous around these parts
They can be bought at $10K+ over MSRP depending on the dealer. The plant is shutdown for a few weeks and will probably see more shutdowns in the Spring. They original build of 2,000 ZR1's for 09 may only end being 1,200 or less with plant shutdowns.

The grey one pictured here was for sale last week, not sure what they removed at GM's request:

as an observer only, it's interesting to me that they are so hard to come by with all the troubles gm is having and with the price softness of all other high end cars. it seems you can buy a mint used f430 for what a zr1 is going for...but hey, it's not my money!
