So my cousin is negotiating on a Challenger SRT 8. The color is blue and the dealer wants 10k over MSRP. He negotiated down to 4k and wanted to know what is the market for the SRT8? Is that still to high?

 

Yup, my coworker got one for less then MSRP.

 

Most are going under MRSP, say 3-4K. I think there is more then that on a few deals.

 

Sounds like its B5 blue, thats a popular limited production colour and the reason why they are asking so much.

No car right now, with the exception of maybe the Camaro, which i still would not pay over for should be bought for over MSRP. And lets not forget all the dealers that are going away and need to move these cars...fast!

This is true..search and you will find. Although Challengers are rarer than Camaros

35000 is not rare. Who knows what will happen with the V8 Camaro once the Goverment starts to tell them what kind of cars to build. The same is true with the Hemi. I think the days of big V8 may be over for at least awhile
