ZR1 Backfire

Hey all. I'm curious as to whether the the ZR1's engine is timed aggressively enough so that it backfires awesome blue flames (like the F430 ). Its what I've heard but am not so sure of the truth behind it.

backfires are generally too lean of a condition. What your referring to is a rich condition on decel allowing flames out the exhaust pipes. And no I dont have a ZR1 to help you w/ your question sorry.

The F430 does it because the engine is in the back and the exhaust is so short.

You would be hard pressed to shoot a flame out the tailpipe of a Corvette, but I have done it before
