Opinions on the Ford GT??

Looking to possibly purchase a Ford GT in the future. Always thought they were good looking cars, but are they as good to drive?

Can a Ford GT owner PM me, I would like to ask some questions on the car before I make a decision. I have not had a chance to drive one, since I haven't found one for sale in my area.

To answer your question, they drive as good, if not better, then they look. You can find a lot of good information at fordgtforum.com. Feel free to PM or email me with any questions. Good luck in your search.

Best Regards,
Waldo

Ford GT

I had a silver with black strips car. The cars looks are on of the best out there. At the time i had a Diablo 6.0 and Ferrari 360. Sold those but have a G lambo and just sold my GT3RS. So, i will compare it to those cars. The best looking, the GT comes in a close 2nd to the 6.0. The car is fast, i let my buddy drive it with me in the GT3RS up in the hills and the car was always right there with the Porsche. Power comes on very fast, so you need to be a pretty good driver to drive the car like it was meant to be driven. No visibility from the side or rear, just like the 6.0. a comfy car, but if your 6'2" plus head room is limited. The car will get loose fast in a corner if you dont know what you are doing. My only real grip about the car was the sound. it sounded like crap for a car with that much HP and good looks. I wish i would have kept the car, its fun, fast, put together well and seems to be holding its value pretty well.

I simply LOVE my GT. PM me for any info you want.

Change the exhaust to a Heffner exhaust. $2,200.00 for ALL THE SOUND YOU COULD POSSIBLY WANT. Add Ford Racing Headers if you want to be race car illegally loud. Mmmmmmm good.

You must have left it stock which is quiet. B/c friend owned one, and there's another near me modded, and sound ****ing insanely wicked when opened up, very loud and aggressive as hell.

Jeremy hated the one that had an AFTERMARKET immobilizer that kept draining his battery. And as for luggage space, we toured California with our girls and their luggage, and then spent a few days on the race track. The car held all the luggage the girls could stuff in, handled the highways with aplomb, and were trouble free running hard on the tracks. Skipping the immobilizer, Jeremy loves the car. As do I. How much? My 996TT-s has been relegated to my (mostly unwashed) summer daily, and my Lotus is sitting forlornly waiting for a Sunday drive.

Rock, it looks like we've got pretty much the same taste in cars!!! LOL

BLKM3, did you hit the links I sent you? Nice low mile Red at a KILLER price!!!!

550HP is enough power for most people on that car. I drove a modded GT and it's definitely a religious experience but a handful when floored. But I think most people bought the car for its beauty, rarity and heritage. I have not yet met anyone that dislikes the looks or the way it drives...but then again...

I think you would be hard pressed to find someone like that in real life...on the internet no problem, but every Ford GT I have seen has turned heads like it's nobodies business
