I Don't Get It - C6 Corvette Aftermarket Headlights.

Hi guys.

If there are two cars in this world..ok maybe MAYBE 3 cars out there that i like it's;

996TT
C6 Z06
and maybe 997TT (they're starting to grow on me)

But what I cant understand for the life of me, is the total lacking of aftermarket headlight kits for the C6 Z06 or C6 in general..

I mean, think about it, just googling a simple image shows me exactly what I'm thinking of, now maybe it's just me, but this:

Does not look particularly good to me, i think the inside yellow filling of the headlight assembly makes the car look cheap.

How come no one out there is making headlight conversion kits for the C6? Something along the lines of full assembly projectors or something that looks slightly better and more fitting to the aggressive styling of the car in general?

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I think if somehow the area right by the lamps themselves was black it might look better. As much as I think the pop ups are "cool" on Vettes and have been on them since 1963, these do work better and give more light. Plus weigh less. That's why alot of race cars that are based off of road cars with pop ups lose them for fixed units for racing.

I can't stand pop up headlights. I have them in my car, and actually bought C6 complete headlights to fabricate on my car.

C6s are obviously all color matched to the body. So I've seen people swap the assemblys for black C6 units. Though it only looks ok on a few colors.

You're kind of stuck with the style the way they are. Especially since DRLs and turn signals are integrated in the housings.

The factory has offered a few "special editions" of late with blacked out headlights. It looks good in some cases.

I think it looks fine just the way it is. I've seen a few black headlight versions and like that too.

The C6 lights don't really look like the 360 either (which I'm assuming you're talking about).
