Zr1
Funny as I'm considering a ZR1 as well...I am actively shopping for a Gallardo but after running into John Hennessey at the gym this weekend, he sang the ZR1's praises. Says for a few grand you can have 650 RELIABLE RWHP and trap 140 mph all day long.

A few grand as in a full exhaust and tune? LOL
Exhaust, pulley and tune....if you had a few more grand, plus a few more grand you could twin turbo it and be over 800 rwhp.
A lot of people have trusted John 100% and gotten 100% screwed. If you dont believe me, do some reading over on Viper Alley or VCA! Let's just say he doesn't have such a good rep in the Viper world... It's amazing he's still in business!
Wasn't that mainly in the past?
It's good to hear that it has all of the driver aids that I'm used to... I think I'd prefer to use this 'PTM', it sounds exactly like my VDC-'R'.
I'm all of the sudden considering this... We'll see what happens to the prices. I don't expect them to come down too quickly, just based on it's low production numbers. Anybody have any insight on this?

I've got a friend over at CF that had a Z06 and moved to a ZR1. I rode with him just 30 days ago in his ZR1 at Summit Point and I asked him specifically the difference in his lap times and he said they were nearly identical (within 1 second)...the ride quality difference in the two cars is pretty substantial though with the ZR1 being a good bit better. I've owned a Z06 and agree with him 100%. Aside from the most impressive pulling power of the ZR1, the thing that amazed me about the car was the brakes. Hands down, the best brakes i have ever experienced -- bar none. The seats continue to be the weak point. You will almost certainly need a pair of seats to track, although my buddy Jas is using the stockers. I wallowed all over the damn car in the passenger seat.
