The new gt500 is awesome, a buddy of mine just pick one up. I think you buy one of these car to go straight and fast in the 1/4, Muscle cars are not build for handling. If you want a good handling car get a used Zr1 or a GTR.

We just did a pulley swap, air box, and a tune on my buddies 2011 CTS-V and it put down 560 rwhp with almost nothing. My tuner has been experimenting with porting the snouts, blowers, ect.

They should be able to spin the ZL1s blower to 16-18psi. The CTS-V stock only pushed 7psi and after the pulley swap, we got 12.5-13.

I'm sure similar mods but the blower is being spun much faster on the GT500. We did the 2.550 upper pulley on the V but you can go 2.38 for more power.

No doubt that Ford got that package right on the new GT500 and GM will be playing catch up but, the LSA/LS9 has the ability and will have to be massaged thru aftermarket routes. Formato is one of them.

Love that and the GT500. The mahnaride is amazing and does crazy thing for such a heavy car. The money was spent there where on the GT500 it was spent on the engine and carbon driveshaft. Both are awesome and we are lucky to be able to by both. I feel bad for the super snake owners of the past now because the new GT500 really is just about as good or better really for 20-30k less than others paid back then.
