FORD Falcon from down under
I frequent these forums quite often yet don't post much at all, not having a home for Aussie vehicles i thought I would put it in the American muscle section as it has the heart of an american. So this is my FORD FALCON XR8 2009 with the 5.4ltr Boss motor and a Tremec gearbox.
In Australia the Falcon's are very popular and have been for 50 years, This is the very last of the XR8's they no longer produce them so its become a bit of a rarity to see them on the roads.
It produces about 220rwkw or 300hp at the rears from the factory, I have since upgraded to a Di Fillipo Exhaust system comprising of 4 into1 1 7/8'' headers to 3" collector then through twin 3" 100c cats and through to the rear with a twin 3" system. I've also done a billet Mellings oil pump as these can be prone to letting the pump go. I've also had it SCT tuned with a custom dyno tune, with these simple mods it makes about 270rwkw or 360hp.
Basically it is all set up now to take a Kenne Bell supercharger, which in Australia is not a cheap thing 10k once it has arrived and custom intake manifolds are made for it. Not many Falcon GT's and XR8's have gone with the KENNE BELL but those who have are making some serious power a nice 600hp at the tires.
Factory Spec's
2009 FG XR8 in Nitro(color)
290kw Boss motor (5.4ltr GT500 motor without the blower).
TR6060 manual.
Leather, Premium sound, factory Optioned 19's (Pirrelli P-Zero Nero's), Reverse Sensors.
Pics.
I've recently put a set of 20" wheels that will clear Brembo's brakes as the factory ones offset doesn't allow this to happen.
Some pics!

Cheers mate,
I'm not so sure about that, I would love to see the Mustangs and Corvette's here its a scary thing to import them as a GT500 will cost close on $200,000, would be great to see them in the dealerships.
See below for 10' GT500

Thanks for the compliments bud.
Cheers mate, Holden's Terrible cars , Actually they make some great cars but I'm a ford man and just can't seem to bring myself to buy a Holden.
What have you got?
Yeah we have the new Coyote here except we call it a Miami as it has a locally built Harrop supercharger on it. It is now the only V8 available in the Ford range. Not a bad little engine with the blower on it makes 335kw at the flywheel but many examples have shown Ford have understated the power output to keep the media happy as many are making 350kw at the rears with tuned versions making 450kw+ on the little 1.8 Harrop blower..

I've got a G8 GT which is a left hand drive Commodore.
That Miami motor with boost = awesome.
Harrop makes a good blower for the LSX motors.

Nice basically a VE SSV here in AUS they are a nice car, is it just stock? the Harrop blowers for the LS motor are quite popular as there is really no comparison available.
YEah the Miami Motor is great piece of gear, A local Tuner here is is making low 500kw with the stock motor and blower, not bad for a factory motor.

Great cars,
Is it just taxes that make the Mustangs and Vettes so outrageously priced. Sheesh.
Don't worry, there are plenty of people here who would love to tax these cars out of existence.

Cheers, man say this i'm not sure why they don't export them like the Holden's.
Thanks mate, yeah that and the fact you have to change them to right hand drive, which is only done by a small number of people here and they charge huge amounts for it.
