took friends vette to NY for some fun (pictures)

A very very good friend of mine lent me his wife's 04 vette convertible last weekend. My wife and I abandoned our children at a rest stop on 95 and blasted off for NY. (We actually left the kids with their favorite aunt and uncle) My wife had never driven a vette before (this one was automatic) so she had a great time.

We were lucky enough not to encounter and speed traps and made it to ny in record time. We bubbled Times Square much to the tourist's delight. It was so much fun to cruise NY with a convertible. You miss so much with a car. It seemed that at every intersection there was some architechtural styling que that was fun to look at.

Saturday we did dinner and a broadway show. Sunday morning I got up early and shot the car all around NY. It is a city that doesn't wake up too early so I had the streets virtually to myself.

Attached are a couple of shots of the vette and some of ny.

regards

Ken

Bentley with the spare reminds me of the time I saw a Bentley with a parking enforcement boot on it. Guy could pay $150K+ for the car, but no money to pay the parking tickets. The car was LaVan Hawkin's car. Now in a federal prison on corruption and wire fraud.
