Not bad for only spinning 6k. Oh and thats a stock block/crank, and modified stock intake manifold, at 25psi.

Those are some insane numbers. Is that going to be an 8 second street car?

With the stock 6 speed and stock IRS yes it will be deep in the 8's. Oh and it's a roadster too. Should trap high 170's in the 1/4, might crack 180. Not bad considering it has A/C, Stereo, etc. And on 12psi (pump gas numbers) will make right around 1200rwhp.

It has 7 second potential but will take a ton of work, a killer driver, and a lot of luck to break that one.

dell wont go 7's in that car... he really needs to let kevin tune it and then drive it for the best chance...

there is still power left on the table at this boost level no doubt.. you can tell its not tuned properly because it cuts out bigtime when he gets on it in all the vids..

he needs to run it as is and not risk blowing it up on 5 more psi either...

just my .02

props for him on trying to do it all by himself, he did a good baseline tune now he can drive it somewhere and have a professional tune it and drive it to get the number!

Dell won't go 8's in it anytime soon. He was scared of it on the dyno, that tells me he won't have the stones to do a 6k rpm clutch drop in the near future.

The car needs some SERIOUS rear end work. You see the rear wheels flexing to toe in in the vid? uhh, thats scarry. Solid bushings FTW!

btw I need to send you a pic of the rear upper control arm from my girls mustang. It ripped the bushing/shell OUT of the arm, via tearing the arm. Don't even ask how she did it cause I sure as heck don't know.

That car is missing like it did when I first drove it, so I tend to think he took the SP tune out of it. I told him I would remap the whole drivability part for him like I did d'amicos but have yet to recieve a .cal file. Not that John's car doesn't run well or anything.

That car has another 100hp in it easy with a good tuner and 3-4 dyno pulls, on the current boost level.

But I agree, he needs to be spending a lot more time driving it than going for 'bigger dick' numbers. That car was burning the drag radials off at 150mph with 1200rw, it's got to be nuts now. Time for those new MT 345/35/18 drag radials.

while impressive, it's a pointless street car is it not? it's like having a 20" dick - yeah, you're the biggest and you can brag all day long but when's the last time a girl sucked in 7"?

is this the car you plan to run in the high-speed events? that should be exciting

1500rwhp is a bit much on the street, but with a big slick it makes for deep 8 second passes.

And yes with some good speed rated tires makes those 5th gear pulls pretty damn exciting.

HP usability is all relative to the driver. You don't HAVE to slam it wide open. Modulation and being smooth goes a long way. 1300rwhp in this car is absolutely driveable on the street on a daily basis, haven't been for a 1500rwhp ride yet.

its totally streetable.. i was in the car when it made 1385 and it pulled like a **** in every gear and with the aem controlled nicely, you can do things like boost by gear, etc and it hooks up fine in all gears. It pulls as hard in 4th as it does in 1st, its was rediculous.

vicious, wish you were out this way... I was at a wedding saturday and had 44 bru-ha's and passed out in the hallway, lol

i haven't been keeping up w/ my stand-alone technology - didn't consider this.

what is the boost limited to in 1st to prevent massive wheelspin?

On street tires it doesn't make enough load on the motor to put down much more than 2-3psi. 2nd will pull around 8 which is usually limited to 5 or so. 3rd will go nuts but you keep that down to 10ish (thats about 1000rwhp on this car)... 4th I just let it go all out and drive it with the throttle. Will blow through 345/30/18 bfg drag radials at 150mph with no problem at around 1300rwhp so it takes some finess to keep it under control but boy does it scoot. 5th gear gets burly (which pulls to 235mph currently)
