Noob with a New car

Hey everyone, joined the forum today and I thought I'd post up a few pics of my ride....

2007 Holden SSV - Phantom Black - 6.0L V8 (L98)

I have since lowered the car and found my tyre shine!

It's an awesome car to drive, and I'm very glad I got it. If only I could find some decent wheels for it. Anywho, let me know what you think

Bob.

The Ausi's have it good. We got stuck with the pigish looking GTO, you get that sexiness.

Could use more 'race-ie' looking rims though.

Welcome to the 6.

Nice car! Looks like a lot of fun to drive. I can't wait til they bring the Pontiac G8 to the states so we can drive all the fun muscle sedans you guys have had for years.

Performance specs: 0-60mph ~ mid 5's, 1/4 ~ low 14's (as tested by local 'Motor' Magazine)
Trasmission: 6L80E w/manual mode (A 6sp manual is also available, but, I drove the Auto and I liked it, so I got it.)

Anything else, you can visit http://www.holden.com.au/www-holden/...w?modelid=4006

I believe the 2008 Impala SS will be about 90% identical to my car on the outside. Only differences are the Impala doesn't get the Black tails, nor the Projector headlights, and it'll have Chevrolet badges on it

As for the inside, from what I've seen, it appears that both the Impala SS and Pontiac G8 don't get the 6.5" in dash LCD screen for Audio/Climate controls/Nav/Secondary DVD Display. Don't mind the dust on my dash ....

The sound system is average at best, but there are a few companies making aftermarket goodies for them!

I love that first pic! I'm a real sucker for mean-looking front fender flares

Bob, that's a cool car man, welcome.

Just wondering, what's the real world fuel consumption like? I imagine it's pretty thirsty when you're on it, but what about just cruising around and on the highway at low rpm?

It's rear-wheel drive, right? I couldn't find anything about FWD or RWD on Holden's webpage but another page said RWD.

RWD, it's one of the first cars that's based on the new GM platform that is going to bring us the G8.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that car has the LS2 in it. That thing cruises just above idle on the highway...think close to 30MPG!!

Driving it like a nut around town, 20L/100km
Driving it sensibly around town, 16L/100km
Town & Highway, 13.5L/100km
Strictly Highway, 11L/100km

Sorry, but you guys will have to work out the MPG

THE FIRST dude! Holden designed the Zeta Platform for the VE

And I figured you'd find me on here! Where can I find Vader?
