New Facelifted Turbo Pics and info

Sorry if this is a repost but a Freind of mine sent me this link with some info and good pics of the new facelifted turbo. He also had some info from a contact in germany that any cars after a Jan-Feb build would be switched over to direct injection which would bump HP to 500 and would also get the new front and rear treatment. It's sort of wierd that they would do this mid year, but hey we know Porsche. This is why i passed on a Feb build and went with April, might have all been for nothing but I'm not driving it in the winter here in the Northeast anyways so no big deal.

Sucks that they will do a facelift on the TT, will make the MKI TT drop in value even more than before

as much as it blows, it is normal to facelift mid-cycle and all car makers do it (e.g, benz and BMW, Bentley flying spur, Ferrari came out with M models in the 512, 456 and 550 series, etc.)

b911s, did your contact in germany also say anything on the PDK/DSG ?

Because this article speaks about 2009, while you are mentioning march/april 08 builds.

Is the DSG/PDK also coming at that same time or later (MY09/MY10) ?

Mike

I have heard that too. The face lifed 911 due in early next year. And if there is pdk, it would be coming with the new TT, if not, pdk fans have to wait until 998.

Maybe they (at Porsche) are finally listening to all the current owner's cries for more hp, given that the competition is creeping up on their performance (e.g. Skyline GTR).

This also means that the new TT's probably won't be compatible with the existing ECU program mods.
