HRE 597R for sl500

I'm considering purchasing a set of HRE 597R for my 04 SL500. They are used and in good condition. Asking price is $2600 with 70% tire tread left. Is this a good deal? I've read some reviews that these wheels have been breaking. Any ideas or comments appreciated.
Thanks,

I really have no info about the quality of these wheels, but i personally don't like the style. I think they actually look cheap. If it was me i would reconsider my options. I'm not trying to bash on your style but, I really dislike the way those rims look :/

Are they 19" or 20"?
if they are 19" they would be 6780.00 for the wheels only new and 20" would be 7180.00 for the wheels only new. Make sure that they are HRE's and not a copy of the wheels. If you like the style, which happens to be a very popular one for the SL, then it is a great deal. You can tell that they are HRE's by the serial number on the back. These wheels are not prone to breaking and you will find that they are of the highest quality and that we stand behind our product. Do a search on 6Speed for HRE and see the feedback.

Also, if those are the wheels they are not 597R's but 547 standards. Just an FYI.

Cost is less at 5580.00 for 19" and 5980.00 for 20"

Thanks for the info Marc. They should be authentic HRE's from what I can tell. Even though other don't like it, I think I might go for them.

Its a good deal on HRE wheels and tires. Make sure you check the inner tread as well because on those cars if you run them in low position, it can really wear out the inner tire while the rest looks great.

As for the style, here is a shot of the 847. Similar style.

O, and we are installing a set of the 597R's on Monday on a SL500. Will be sure to shoot pics and post them.
