Quick Video of my 800hp Quality Motorsports 06 Z06
I am new to the Z06 scene and wanted to share my experience with Quality Motorsports, out of Dallas Texas. After what I thought would be a harmless conversation with SW asking him what I should mess with next, he quickly convinced me that a Z06 purchase would be a worthwhile move. Although I was a bit skeptical, around Labor Day, SW sold me a perfect black 06 with 900 miles sight unseen. At that point I had never driven a domestic car that wasn't part of a rental fleet, let alone a Z06.
Since SW is familiar with my high expectations along my abusive appetite for friendly street racing, he immediately pointed me towards Patrick Sparks over at Quality Motorsports.
What started out as a heads/cam/header package to serve as a nice weather daily driver turned into a complete motor build with a custom two stage 200 shot plate/direct port nitrous kit. Unfortunately I have never been able to just stick with simple bolt-ons and this car proved no exception.
Patrick did an exceptional job keeping me posted with progress updates, reviewing different options/ideas etc. over the entire build process. He patiently answered all of my dumb questions and took care of the car as if it were his own. Since I rushed him a bit on the delivery date, we decided it would make sense for me to put a few miles on it before the weather turned here in Ohio and make fine adjustments to the car after I had some seat time. After emptying three bottles over the first 72 hours the car was delivered along with numerous N/A beatings, my seat time was complete.
Patrick and Ryan flew up to Ohio this past weekend to make a few changes and I couldn't be happier with the final product. Even my wife, who hates anything to do with cars, didn't mind "the car guys" taking over the garage and staying at our house.
Below is a quick video I shot of the last dyno run we did Monday night after a night of tuning. We still have some minor A/F adjustments to make on the two stage as it was getting late at night, and we decided to continue tuning on the street once the Ohio weather warms up next spring.

Bottomline, if anyone is considering shops to work on your Z, I would highly recommend Quality Motorsports. I am spoiled working with some of the top shops in the country and QM exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly doubt there is also a more reasonably priced shop around either. I look forward to hopefully working with them again next year on another project...this time an 09 CTS-V for the family car.
If anyone is looking for a further reference on their work, please don't hesitate to PM me.
