H&R Springs for 997TT

Hey Guys,

few questions....

1)Is it recommended to get spacers, even if i plan to get aftermarket wheels soon after?

2)Are there any rubbing issues?

3)Is there only 1 setup (sport version)?

4)Any pics of 997TT w/ the H&R springs on oem wheels?

TIA

You can do a search. But here are few pics of my on OEM Wheels and H&R Springs. I have a set if you want them for a good price I wrote good review on them. I went with Bilsteins Coilovers now.

Here is the H&R Drop and Spacers 7mm in the front and 15mm in the rear. No rubbing issue at all. The spacers are not that expensive and I kept mine in case I have to go back to OEM for something or track at DE.

I have H & R springs without spacers. No problems except the car is about an inch lower in the front so it drags much easier than stock. Send me your email address and I will send photos before and after. turbodickie@yahoo.com

Hey man,

How much are u asking for on the springs? I assume they are just the regular sport?

Also, how long did you have them for and why did u decide to go w/ the c/o's at the end?

BTW, correct me if im wrong... are the spacers used just to make the wheels flush w/ the fenders since lowering it causes a slight neg. camber....

Thanks.

Sean

FYI- H&R lowering springs have a softer spring rate than stock.

We have tested them against the factory springs when we were developing our World Challenge (WC) line of sport lowering springs with Eibach.Which not only have a higher rate but are a true progressive spring which offer the lowered ride height without sacrificing ride quality while improving the handling.

You will get the lowered ride height you are looking for but you will not get any improvement in handling with the H&R set up.

Would you say the handling worsens with the aftermarket H&R springs?

thanks.

Softer spring rate would decrease the handling capabilites. This is especially noticeable when the car is in sport mode as you can feel the dampers have to much valving for the spring.

Can you recommend a brand that would not lower the car so much? I think the H&R's look awesome, but maybe a tad bit too low for me.

Thanks.

Why dont you try our World Challenge WC Sport lowering spring kit.
20 mm drop (1 inch) improved ride quality, improved handling, springs are matched to the factory PASM dampers and we also have the sway bar kit to compliment the package.
Several board members have them installed.

Here are a few pictures of the springs installed on cars so you have an idea.

Our 997TT with the kit installed.
You can come by the shop and see the car for yourself.

We can also install and align the car for you in one day.
You are only 30 minutes from us.

Fabryce,

Are your GWG springs the same as Eibach's (or do they just oem it for your company)? Also, it looks like your springs lower the car a bit less then H&R's?

Lastly, can you let me know the pricing, installed?

Thanks,

Sean

i plan to get wheels, maybe a few months after dropping the car. Would you recommend i wait to get the alignment until the wheels are installed? I believe it will take at least a week for the springs to settle in anyways right?

Thanks.

Sean

Lets make it perfectly clear, these springs are made exclusively for GMG for the World Challenge (WC) line of performance parts for Porsche by Eibach.
Its our design and our spring rate. These ARE NOT standard Eibach springs that have been rebranded. ( a common practice many "tuners" use)

The springs have been tuned and tested for use on our roads under our driving conditions. Over 6 months in development.

Let me know if I can be of further help. You can come by the shop and I will be happy to explain the specifics to you.

Thanks.

Can you tell me what the differences are between yours and Eibachs?
