A while back, I saw some of you guys got a VTG turbine thing as a gift from Porsche..... what am I? Chopped liver? I never got one.

Actually, I don't know what the criteria was for sending them out. I have/do own several Porsche's but I don't know if PCNA chose who got them or local dealers signed up people to receive them.

 

I didn't get anything when I bought my 996 cab or my 997S cab but I think those that got the 996 gifts filled out a JD Power survey. It would be interesting if Porsche gave gifts to those that filled out surveys only. No big deal, just wondering if everyone got one.

 

Didn't get anything when I bought the 997S or the TT. Guess they don't like me.

 

What's this "turbine thing"? Can somebody post a picture? I haven't even bought any recent Porsche but I'd like to see what they're giving out.

 

It wasn't a gift for a purcahse - it was a solicitation for the new 997TT.

They sent me a certificate of authenticity, I thought that was cool.

 

They used to send a metal block with the Porsche Crest and your VIN on it as a gift. That was back in 2003 when I bought my 996TT. This time I got a bottle of wine from the dealer. I do believe you get a certificate of authenticity again.

You only get the certificate of authenticity if your dealer "participates" in that program. Of course mine doesn't. You can buy it from PCNA for around $90.

 

I got two of those stupid things.

What I didn't get were any of those posters of the TT cab that I ordered in early spring! I was going to mount them and decorate my garage with them.
