Smoked Tails?

Anyone have smoked tails on a white 997 turbo? Also has anyone tried smoking your tails and leaving the reverse lights white (un tinted)?

Do the red factory lights actually blink red?

I hate red blinking lights because half the time they are hard to see when a car is braking.

Mine are smoked including the brake light portion. IMHO, I think a cut out for the reverse lights breaks up the "theme" too much. I'm actually looking to go even darker as well as doing the brake light in the wing.

thanks ron. your car looks great and u were the one i was talking about with the techart rims above. your right cut out for the reverse lights doesnt look good on black cuz it looks stealthy and clean all smoked. but on a white car it would look good....

globalm3, can u post pics of your tailights on your cayenne? or anyone....

Yeah i had it done 2 times. the first time the guys did it with a special tint that they layed over the light, then cut the clear portion out. What i didn't like about this was they cut into the plastic of the light leaving a line. Also the tint wouldnt lay properly leaving bubbles that never dried out. I ended up taking it off and doing it with a special glaze the next time. That worked out really good and i love the look

Here you go bro. We powdercoated the Techart exhaust tips to match. The first pic shows one of each for comparison.

I like the look, although I think I would prefer to leave my turn signals clear, can you PM the price to tint just the red and leave the turn signals/reverse lights clear?

Thx.
