Having a tough time with color choices
Having a tough time with color choices
I was all set on getting a meteor gray TT to replace my seal gray Boxster S. Now after seeing some nice guards red pics I'm leaning that way. I've seen neither in person yet. I've only seen arctic silver, white, black, and blue. Any more pics of meteor gray floating around? I did a search but can't find any. I would think guards red would be more striking in person but also could potentially be too loud. I already have a red M3 which I am keeping. Any thoughts?
What kind of person are you. Are you a "look at me! look at me!" kind of person? The 911 isn't exactly an exotic, but bright colors like yellow, white, accentuate the contrast between sheetmetal and airducts, front splitter, side intakes, giving the car a more dominant profile. I personally like black...which really isn't a color...it's more like a labor of love.

My thoughts:
1st. Porsche-01 blk/blk c2. great to have the black for the first 2 days.
2nd. 02 seal gray 996tt- Color got boring and took away from the car.
3rd. 02 996tt-silver/black-also boring after a while and missed the shine.
4th. 04 996c4s cab.Midnite/natural brown- Nice car and I thought that was a great color.
5th. 05 996tt S. Blk/blk. Saw it and fell in love. But again, didnt learn the first time.
6th. 07 997tt. White/blk. Liked the white until I saw my friends 997 gt3 in COBALT BLUE!!
7th. 997tt-Cobalt Blue/Terracotta/Blk 2tone. IMO, I like the Cobalt the best so far. Its stunning on the road and easy to take care of. I dont like it in the 997c2, But I love it in the 997TT or 997gt3.
The color IMO is the most important thing about the car. I think the Cobalt is by far the nicest colors that Porsche makes.

I think meteor gray is the best color for a turbo (that's why i got seal gray). It looks really good with red deviated stitching and belts. It plays off well with the red brake calipers (assuming you don't get ceramics). People give me a lot of compliments on the interior of my car.

I go black on my cars ... as said by "BBYWU" - Black really isn't a color, more a labor of love ... how true, how true!
Between your final two choices Red or Gray ... I like the way red looks, but it's also known as "Write Me A Ticket Red" ... and since you'll need to be as invisible as possible, and Gray is easy to care for as the dirt doesn't show as much, my choice is Gray.

. Don't think you can go wrong with either and in fact I may suggest to go with Grey since you already have a red car. That said
