2000 miles!!!!

Finally past the break in period.
great car!!
Enjoying every single mile in this car.
Rain or shine (trying to avoid possible hail)

Really thinking about an exhaust on this car.
too tame sounding compared to my 997s with sports exhaust.

It took me only 4 days to put 2225 miles on minie. I went on a road trip the day after taking delivery and that was the best experience for me ever! And yes, I did break it in properly by varying the RPMs, not lugging, etc. Over a year later, with 18,500 miles, she's still worth every penny!

Congrats buddy, look forward to many more years of enjoyment from your amazing Turbo! Which exhaust systems are you looking at?

I should clear 2000 miles on my way to GMG this morning for mods. How random is that!

Not that I adhered to the break in though, no abuse, just drove it as I would normally.

Why do you have South Dakota plates on a Missouri car?

The car's exhaust will take more than 2,000 miles to break in. Im at 8,000ish and it gets better with time. One of my friends that has an 07 TT who drives it a bit less actually thought that mine was modded when I pulled up.

Also dont forget that there is a large difference in sound between lightly pushing the pedal and WOT, at WOT the exhaust note sounds great. But that's just me. On the track when I was WOT most of the time I got a few compliments on just the stock sound.

I would change the oil/filter after 2000 miles. Mine has three oil/filter changes under her belt

I say not a chance.

1. If I was mid 40's highly educated, I wouldn't start all these stupid threads.

2. If I was mid 40's highly educated and successful, I would react harshly to all these questions about my integrity.

3. Do they REALLY call orthopaedic surgeons to 'fix' femurs of people who are dying in the ER of injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents? I mean, c'mon, only a 12 year old could write that and feel it might be credible.

Edit: I rest my case. School's out.
