Help!!Any dealers out there wanna swap an 09 997tt coupe allocation for a 997ttcab??

I have an allocation at my dealer for august build 09tt cab and instead would rather have a coupe...I have a tax credit there, so no i cannot just buy the coupe from your dealership....

TIA

I think the coupe:cab allocation ratio is still about 1:2. There are plenty of dealers out there with coupe allocations, I just don't think they want to give them up for a cab when those are relatively plentiful. Depending on how big you tax credit is, why don't you either:
1) offer any dealer that will swap with you a few bucks
or
2) offer your dealer the same to find a dealer to trade with.

I'm sure it is worth $1000 to get the car you want and that might be enough to motivate the dealers to help you out.

Typically, if you sell a car to a dealer and purchase a new car from the same dealer within 12 months (varies by state) the sale of your car can be treated as if were a trade-in. In some states you only pay sales tax on the difference between the new vehicle purchase price and the trade-in value. I assume that is what is going on here.

In the world of 997 turbo cabs, this sure surprises me. I see plenty of 911 cabs but not in the turbo model. So thanks--I learned something today
