yes. its a bit buggy in the fact that it takes a while to calibrate. It would be a whole lot better if it auto-started as soon as you hit the gas. But on the face of it - seems very accurate - I have used it about 10 times and it was on track to my speedometer readings.

I particularly like the summary files it produces once you decrease acceleration.

I think they will improve the app pretty shortly though - imo - for 13.00 - not bad at all.

 

Didn't really work too well for me... maybe I have to find a sturdier place to put it while I drive.

 

needs to be rock solid. also ensure you calibrate your car too ie. enter the details such as weight etc. otherwise that will skew the results significantly.

there are reported problems with certain iphones though - to do with the iphone accelerometer.

 

Wow thats ridiculous, love technology.

My only question would be, does anyone know of a good place to keep the iphone? The one place I like is in the center console ashtray, I wonder if it matters how you orient the iphone comparative to the car, I hope it makes no difference because thats a pretty sturdy place to put it without needing to buy any cradles.

I used it on my A3 2.0T and my 997TT. It is a bit awkward and tricky, but does come kinda close.

Worked really well for me...except the the phone kept flying off the console into the back seat...

 

I have it and like it. My wish was that I could do 60 to 130 runs. I hate killing the clutch to get a good number from a dead start. The skid pad feature is neat if you can secure the phone. For the price it is a must buy.

 

Cool now just have to get the phone.

i have it and like it also, but the problem is that once you hit "Start Run" it takes like 3-5 seconds and the light just turns green (without beep or anything) to GO!

Its cool tho, once you have your curb weight of your car and stuff, its semi accurate...

Meh, well I tried it again, this time I velcroed it to my dash. Still inaccurate results. Maybe I need to find a flatter, straighter road for an accurate readout.

 

A friend of mine has it on his phone and says it works pretty good.

 

I don't have my exact weight. So, in the meantime before I get weighed, what weights are people using for a stock 997TT manual with stock wheels?
