How much do you think this car is worth?

I will give you no information beyond pictures. You must use them to make an educated guess on what this car is worth. There is one piece of the puzzle that is missing and I will expose it towards the end of... Use nothing but what info you have here. It will be clear if you cheated or not by the figure you give. Have at it!

I would pay to have it towed to my house. That's it. Would make a great project.

It's actually an authentic 1969 COPO Camaro 427ci/425 hp L72. One of 210 ever made let alone still in one piece.

and it sold for $46,269.69

It might be an original COPO, but it won't be a number's matching car, so I'm surprised it sold for that much.

COPO's are king. Numbers not matching, and it being a basket case. That was a steal.

You guys are confusing me.

Even if it's a COPO car, it's not worth that without the origianal drivetrain. It's not numbers matching because it's not complete!

Let's get real, Barrett-Jackson has given people the forum to drive prices up on old muscle, but 80% of that car will end up coming off the parts shelf, soooo...

$46k is waaay too much.

Not exactly... use a person for example.

You can transplant organs, limbs, skin even... but you can't replace the brain. Which is the personality of the operation. If you want an original COPO car, it starts with what was born a COPO car, not what was born a Camaro RS and you threw a 427 in there and matched the rest up. It's like a "you can take a girl out of a honky tonk, but you can't take the honky tonk out of the girl" scenario.

Heres a scenario

-Originally a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback 289ci V8 replaced with a Shelby GT500 428 Cobra Jet motor and all the rest of the Shelby parts

or

-Originally a 1968 Shelby GT 500 with motor and trans, brakes, interior replaced with that of a Shelby GT500?

This is a no brainer

If you don't think it was worth the price, you don't know Camaro's. I believe it will still bring $200,000. Numbers matching it would be $400,000. Especially if it was sold by Yenko.

Nothing orignial left on that car as far as I can see. The original price and model is irrelevant now. I would pay $100 + towing to my house.

I agree that numbers matching it's a big money car, but as is, it's just a shell.

Thanks for you input all knowing Camaro guru, I bow down to your knowledge.

You guys just are not soaking up anything that is being said. It doesn't MATTER how many original parts are left on the car... it doesn't MATTER if it has the original interior, or what not. The bottom line is that this car is an original COPO car. It may only be a "shell" but it's the rarest part of a car, the part that will never be able to be purchased again. You can replace motors, and everything else... but you can not RE-MOLD a shell of a COPO Camaro... all that is left of this car is all that NEEDs to be left. It is the FACE and body of the car...

With out the "shell", it is like Marilyn Monroe... a celebrity can wear her jewlery, her original clothing, her perfume and hell even a wig... but it isn't the ORIGINAL. Anyways I'm done trying to explain, people are being hard headed.
