My 2009 TT Mods

So I've had my 2009 TT for all but 3 days and I just placed my first mod order:

* Fabspeed Exhaust (sport exhaust version 3)
* Fabspeed Headers
* Fabspeed Tips (powder coated black)
* GIAC chip

Hope that should last me a while.

Anyone run this setup? I should have these installed in the next week or so.

I ran the same basic set up except I have Tubi exhaust. I think you will be very happy. Before you know it you will want to do the I/C up grade and flash. As stated above the power is intoxicating as well as addictive. Enjoy your new car.

I presume I/C is intercoolers? Just so I know what to plan for next, can you provide a link or a SKU# w/ vendor?

Yes, Intercoolers. I do not have SKU # for the upgrade parts but, you can contact Champion Motor sports: http://www.championmotorsport.com/index.htm
or you can visit GIAC's site for more information.

Interesting, not a bad price. So how much HP and TQ will I likely realize with the I/C upgrade as incremental to the Fabspeed headers, exhaust, and GIAC chip for 93 octane? Will upgrading the I/C w/o upgrading the turbos cause any undue strain on the stock turbos or other aspects of the engine?

The ClubSport Intercoolers are far less restrictive and much more efficient then the stock parts on the car. The cores are 25% bigger and will flow about 35% MORE then the stock parts, all while being a direct bolt-in replacement. With your current mods, I'd say you should see gains of around 15whp/tq. You'll also notice a change in the way boost comes on. The freer flow will reduce lag and make the boost feel much more responsive.

Another HUGE benefit of these intercoolers is lower intake temps and less strain on the turbos, especially at your current power level, with the mods you have done. They're a great upgrade, even on a stock car.

If you're interested, let me know and we can work out a good deal for you.
