CL65 on the way.

I figure this is the place to ask some questions, all advice is welcome.

-Where can we get the euro lights to replace the orange ones?
-What tires do you prefer on the stock wheels, what size tires will fit?
-Can the car be lowered just by reprogramming it?

What else do I need to know? The car has the 7 year 100K starmark, good for another 40 months and 76K miles.

They also faxed the MSRP list.

It says Flint grey, Charcoal and Burl Walnut.

I still have no idea if it has any options. I thought that distronic and push start were options but maybe there were more otions that I do not know about.

The printout says says "Parktronic delete " and "phone delete" option.
Does this mean the car came with everything that are options on the other CL cars? Does this mean the original owner ordered these 2 items off the car, but it does have everything else?

lol
never heard of these expressions yet

prolly they mean that the car was originally built with these 2 options included, but where intentionally removed by the previous owner
doesn`t make any sense to me,but well...that : describes it best

But I guess the car has anything else you can think of,as Cl65s are commonly fully fitted.

Don't know about the markers, but I know you can get 275's on the rear tires (maybe a size up) but just be ready to buy in bulk with that beast. I was always surprised MB never stuffed a wider tire out back for tractions sake...

Check out Kleeman or Renntech for a lowering module if you want to drop it.

One of my fav. cars! Enjoy

I thought the starmark certification only added an additional 1 year and 100k miles...BMW certified are 2 yrs + 100k miles..

It is, but I bought an extra 2 years.

Still looking for the markers, Renntech is in town here, so I will drop by there one of these days..

parktronic and phone delete means these items usually are standard (for north america, i think both of these might've been options, but they're standard in europe and other markets) but weren't built with the car. i'm unsure whether parktronic can be retrofitted, but the phone system and vcs can (just in case you wanted to run the mercedes bluetooth system, which is the cleanest way to go, imo) -- the problem is it's almost 3k for the entire setup with labor.

What else do I need to know?
1.) www.mbenznl.com
2.) Bridgestone RE050a, stock sizes
3.) Yes
4.) Car is very fast, and easily modified. Refer to VRP825 thread.

Send me more pictures of the car (center console and dashboard, specifically) and I'll tell you what options it has.

Thank you for your reply.
1. Found them (I am Dutch)
2. Are they OEM?
3. Can (Will?) a Mercedes dealer do it?
4. Figured it out by the originial window sticker; No options, No Distronic, no keyless Go, Parktronic delete, phone delete.

if i'm not mistaken, you can lower the car about 15mm using STAR diagnostics at the dealership. not all of 'em will do it, so your mileage may vary. if 15mm isn't enough, you can get a lowering module or links.

I have the car a week tomorrow:

The car came in very nice, under promised and over delivered by the seller.

Holy mother of god is this thing fast!
I do not know what the 30Mph to 120MPH is, but it sure is a kick in the behind when you floor it. Effortless speed.

The wife likes is, so that is also a bonus.
The euro corner lights are orderd and on the way.
Have not gotten around to lowering the car yet.
This car needs more tire....

The best all around car I have driven to date.
