My SRT Jeep (Pics & Vid)

Hello guys.
I'm kind of new here, and I think I should post this here in the American Muscle sub forum.

I am big into 1/4 mile bracket racing, I'm currently the points leader in the Late Model Mopar points series held at Raceway Park Englishtown NJ with 2 more events to go, so hopefully I can hold the points lead until the end.

If anyone here is into 1/4 mile racing and want to go for a test and tune day/night let me know, I usually go with a few friends. I also go to ATCO and Island.

Anyway, glad to be here... And I love all the pics I've seen here of your cars.

OK, before you ask, here are a few pics and vid of my SRT...

Ohh yeah, my other jeep (wife's daily driver)

Here's a little video of the jeep in the pit area at Etown.

Here's a video of me racing a blue Super Bee SRT8.

Another racing video...

Nice Yeeps!

I was on the hunt for a red '08 SRT8 but couldn't find the deal I was looking for.

Bought the M5 instead, gas mileage is about the same LOL! Would love one as a jetski hauler

Thanks!
Nice cars you have, I was in a hunt for a Formula Firehawk also.
Really the M5 is that bad on gas? I just can't imagine that from a car.

Sure they do... but once you get behind the wheel you forget all about gas mileage .
BTW, nice to see you here also, I've seen you on the SRT red site too.

Funny, friend sold his 03' M5, got an SRT-8 Jeep. I almost bought his M5. That car definitley sucked down the gas, but I remember people on the M5 board saying oh we get 23,24,25 whatever on the highway... no f'n way lol. His was setup well with tune, intake, exhaust and headers which are rare since their $, and was lucky to hit 20 mpg on the highway cruising. I don't know if its gearing or what but that engine guzzles like a **** for a car lol.

Love SRT-8 Jeeps

Yeah I think weight and aerodynamics are taking a huge part on this . Take for example the vettes, they get awesome mpg averages on the highway.

Do you take the TA to the 1/4 mile track a lot?

LOL, for us with the jeeps to see those numbers we would need to go on a long downhill and with a nice tail wind .
Thanks!

Yeah I suppose on a flat road with a light foot you could do it. I put exhaust, and CAIs on it, along with a bunch of misc. goodies and ESS software. It's slow to me, but everyone else thinks it goes good. I'd like to find headers over the winter, but I'm too cheap to spend $4k on some stainless that isn't worth more than $1500. You are correct, $$$ wise they are not mod friendly. I'm trying to remember that it's all money down the drain, and I already have one money pit.

Not very often, I'm not a big 1/4 mile guy. Still running the stock 10 bolt POS, so I don't push it. I'm sick of having my dent guy pull out the creases in the quarter panels after a couple passes on DRs LOL.

I really just enjoy cruising the streets, and the occasional roll race that may fall in my lap.

Actually looking to sell it this spring, and finally get into a Viper. Been trying for 2 years to find the right car, and the deal has just never been sealed. Hopefully it's not a bad sign LOL.

Fellow Jeep owner here. They sure are a fun DD truck for the money. What mods do you have other than Borla? I think I recognize your sig from the Jeep boards.

Thanks, and hopefully soon it'll be running even better . Right now is in the mid 12s, I want to get it low 12s or high 11s NA.

Yeah bro, I'm on the red site too.
I don't have a Borla exhaust, I do have the 5" tips like on the Borla, but my exhaust is all custom, I went with Dynomax muffler, 3" Gibson pipes, no resonators and the 5" Flowmaster tips, I call it the DynoGibFlow lol. I also have Predator with CMR tune, Bwoody CAI, intake thermal spacers, SLP UD pulley, 180 tstat and that's all I can remember. Soon heads/cam and maybe Kooks headers.
