Which gear for turbo/TR6060 combo?
No, I will run 1/4, but 60-130 is more where Id like to set the car up... even thinking about running 4.56's w/ driftbox when its installed/tuned.
I could get into 4th, under 60, and only one shift 130... less load on motor for city driving as well.
Not many turbo TR6060 cars... so that is why I figured you vette and viper guys could help.
I am familiar w/ gearing, load, etc... Do NOT want to change gears 5 times. Im sure a couple will happen, but want to be close on first swap.
Do you run a turbo on your 6060??
______________
7K is right at shift point; perfect.
With TR6060 and 3.55's??!!?? GREATto know.
What shortblock do you run?
turbo size? A/R? Fuel?
What clutch?
What weight?
Caged?
Tire height for 1/4? For mile?
any site w/ specs on your car?
What is your 60-130 time? sheet(s)?

What gears do you have in your car now?
And running 4.56 with a turbo? Brother, you're thinking *** backwards! First would be good for about 2 mph and second wouldn't be much better, not to mention there will be little load to spool the turbo.
The T56 and TR6060 aren't that much different in gearing in the lower 4 gears, it's really the OD where there's a big change in the gearing on some of the boxes. Forget about 5th and 6th when it comes to performance. If you're doing the mile, 5th might be relevant, but focus on the lower gears. I'd highly suggest you get your trans and turbo installed and then put some seat time in the car before you make any drastic rear end gearing changes. I can say with a lot of certainty, I would be extremely unhappy with 4.56 gears in my turbo cars! The lower the gears, the more shifting you're going to be doing, and the less benefit you're going to get out of your turbo(s). Like I said, consider a taller gear if you're going to make changes *****-nilly... Otherwise, run what you have in the car now to get a better feel what you'll want.

To the OP, I'd go with the 3:55's, no higher. Remember, you have a solild axle, gears are cheap and easy to swap if you change your mind....
