Tracking in the rain on Pirelli Corsas?
I've got a PCA DE event tomorrow and was looking forward to getting the GT2 on the track for the first time, but it's running the Pirelli Corsa System it's supposed to rain off and on the whole day, is it worth it even trying it on those (I'm a track newbie, btw) or should I see if I can swap out for some PS2s or something at the track?

Corsas on a GT2 in the wet are not that great TBH... If it's going to rain for SURE and only if your SURE maybe switch to something else.
And for driving a GT2 in the wet, just take it easy, start slow and build up (get the feel), but don't let the weather put you off, you can't just be a fair weather driver.

don't be silly!, you have to learn to drive in all conditions, just go with what you are comfortable with and slowly build up... try to relax and enjoy it!
I'm gonna try it w/ the Corsas, just taking it slow, I wouldn't be nearly as apprehensive w/ a NA 911, it's the onset of the boost in the wet conditions that worries me, hehe.

If it's raining, disconnect one drop link (front and rear) and run slightly less tire pressure and you will be good, remember do take it a little easier with the GT2 and try to feel what the car is doing... Take it easy and enjoy it!
He is a track newbie on a track day, I wouldn't disconnect the links. Just take it easy
I agree he is a newbie, but why not disconnect drop links, I know loads that do it, makes the car more compliant... what is wrong with that?
New to the track, driving a GT2, in the rain?
Park it dude.
Drive the C63!

Drive the C63!
- You already know how to drive
- You're not getting paid for this
- Your competitive spirit may kick in if an S4 (quattro) blows by your GT2
- Why risk a GT2 as a self confessed newbie?
Jeez... talk about people not giving any confidence whatsoever... he just needs to take it a bit easier and build slowly... infact might be worth grabbing an instructor for 30min or so just to break you in, always worth doing.
The Pirelli Corsa's will be just fine. The rest is as others have pointed out.
Being a novice running a PCA DE I'm sure he'll have an instructor the entire day.
If the instructor is good and the driver listens all should be within normal limits. Take it easy, there's nothing to prove and build up gradually.
Best of luck and enjoy yourself.
