08 Turbo Cab - Tiptronic trouble.

Having a problem when the car downshifts from third to second, kind of a mild clunk sound and you can definitely feel it. Car has 10k miles and dealer says it ok but i just can't believe it. Anyone?

Check the transmition oil, if it smells burned the n the car has repeatetlly abused. In that case you'll have to remove and reinforce the transmition at Switzer or MKB (Germany). This is not a cheap or easy thing to do!

Is the car stock or modded?

Try a different dealer. While very robust the transmission should not emit clunking sounds or generate vibrations through to the driver, even when mildly modded.

The car is bone stock except for some rims I just bought. Wish there was another dealer but only have one option. I purchased the car with 5k miles, now it has 10k and I drive a little aggressive I guess but never abusive.

The trans can clunk if the tcu is being used in a safe/limp mode but otherwise it should be smooth as butter. Maybe get a Durametric code reader on it and see of there are any transmission codes?

With 10k miles on an 08 turbo coupe; your best bet is dealer, your under full warranty still. As far as Porsche saying your tranny no good? Very slim; if you read the Owners manual, that tranny doesnt need any fluid changed untill 108k miles.. Does it also clunk when its in reverse? my 08' coupe is a tiP and clunks as well, but its normal, i have about 21k on my odometer now and had the car modded with a fabspeed cold air intake, exhaust and headers since about 10k miles.. Try to take a vid of the noise and post it up, see who could help. And does make an upgrade for this tranny; im thinking about doing it after my power upgrades.
