Please take this the way it is intended. I've lived in the KSA a long time and know how precious life and family is. The video shows pedestrians, who are someone's beloved family members, walking between the road's edge and the cars parked only a few feet away. The cars that are racing on a public road, at night, at a closing rate of probably 100 mph, are splitting traffic to race. The outcome of this kind of driving is inevitable. It doesn't matter how good any driver thinks they are. Someone will step out or pull out in front kf them, or a car will have to swerve and will take out many more people. Your friends and innocent people will die. Can you imagine the heartbreak and sadness that these drivers' selfish need for speed will cause? Being there to film the race is the motivation the drivers crave which compels them to do this irresponsible act. Driving this way is just as irresponsible as shooting a gun in a community - sooner or later somebody's going to die. It's not fair to them or their loved ones they should suffer this loss. If it would infuriate you to see someone shooting a gun around town where your wife, children or parents might be hit, you should be equally incensed to see this kind of driving. The street's not the place to act like this. I ask that you take it to a track or at least an open road in the wadi, but don't do it in town. Thank you.
lol! It can be pretty boring. It's what they do. They do a lot of things different than we do here in USA. I don't think we should judge them with our philosophies (I realize how inflammatory that seems, not my intention - just saying it's different there - people, in general, don't observe safety the same way we do).

...must really be boring to live in Kuwait if all there is to do is race & drift.
+1 on the dangers of street racing...and onlookers... (especially kids).

Dude, you'd me amazed of how some of the cars end up in the positions they do. You'd drive down the highways and wonder "How did that car end up over there on the other side of the ditch, 100yds away from the street, standing straight up against a power line?"
I'll never forget the hundreds of times I've seen men drive with their babies in their laps at highway speeds - sometimes speeding.
Street racers are just a SMALL portion of the driving dangers in Kuwait.

I'm surprised that nobody mentioned the take over of the S class. Both cars took it over from different sides at the same moment and at speeds of over 200km/h.
Thank you for posting the video here, and have in mind that everybody here enjoys seeing race videos. Just do it the safe way

This is one of the only car enthousiast websites I know that tolerates videos of street racing. Not only that, but videos that show INSANELY dangerous behaviour.
I have seen so many reckless videos posted from the middle east on this board it is ridiculous.
You have the money to drive a GT2, and you have racetracks available to you at little extra cost. Take the races to the tracks and stop endangering other peoples lives just so you can post a video on the internet and feel like a big man.
Pathetic.

Do you mean that was irresponsible driving?

For everything that is written ^^
Yes most people drive irresponsibly here in the middle east and lots of accidents had happened in the past period and lots of lives have been lost, just recently 2 of our friends have passed away in the thread a few weeks ago.
This is a major issue and everyone knows it, but when people try for years to solve the issue then others just stop you from whatever solution you come up is denied you unfortunately you give up and lose faith in the society you live in. Whether its a race track, drag strip, etc.
But this is the majority, there are others who prefer and rather take the time and effort to ship there cars to Bahrain which is the nearest race track and drag strip to Kuwait or any other track and enjoy their cars in a safe environment. Which everyone should do until a track is built here in Kuwait
I hope that fellow members here in 6SO which are from the middle east take the time and effort to change the way people think about racing and do it somewhere which is fun and safe and not risking the lives of others.
Im not stating that im an idealist i was in the same spot as others a long time ago and did the same until i was in involved in an accident where i realised what i did and others is wrong. Thank god nothing had happened to both of us in the accident. But no one needs to go through this to wake up.
Just think of all the accidents and lets take into account what had happened to our dear friends that recently passed away.
Yousif.

lo0ol no more Street Racing posts ...
i believe because we have no racing tracks and quarter mile drags they go for illegal street races
but if i wanna be honest with u and my self it has a different taste .
its still fun and amazing
and i believe what ever might happen in e.g texas mile can happen in streets , who would ever expect the UnderGround gallardoTT to fly upside down in an empty straight line ??
or the cars that exploded with no reasons and killed there drivers
if you wanna stay safe and stay away from all this trouble go to auction sell your porsche and buy ur self a decent Volvo its extremely safe
