FVD Brombacher - 997.2 TT Exhaust Revolution!

I am very proud to introduce our latest exhaust offerings for the 997.2TT. We have dubbed our new line the "Sport Stock" series. This exhaust line was created for those who are looking for more sound without jeopardizing their warranties. As many of you know the 997.2TT exhaust is modular, so we developed a replacement "Sport Stock" muffler that resuses the stock cats and tips. But we didn't stop there, we also created a seperate line of cats that can work with either the OEM muffler or the "Sport Stock" muffler.

FVD Brombacher "Sport Stock" Muffler:

FVD Brombacher "Sport Stock" 200 Cell HJS "HD" Cats:

"Sport Stock" Muffler Facts:

Available in 2 sound levels, "Sound Version" which is 5 on a scale of 1-10 (1 being stock). "TUV" which is a 3 on a scale of 1-10 (1 being stock)

- + 6 crank hp & + 5 crank torque**
- Reuses stock cats, perfect for those concerned about warranty.
- Open muffler design for less restriction.
- Tubing diameter is the same as the OEM system.
- Weighs 19 lbs. (8,6 Kg)
- T 316 stainless steel for improved durability over T 304.
- 5 on a scale of 1-10 in volume (1 being stock).
- Includes Cone and V band style hardware to prevent exhaust leaks.
- Made in Germany.
- Modular design for future 100 cell, 200 cell or bypass use. Just let us know your preference.
- More distinguished growl at idle, partial throttle and wide open throttle.
- DME programming NOT necessary with 200 cell cats.
- Reuses OEM tips.

The internal design is open which gives the 997.2 turbos exhaust note the added boost that it needs. The stock muffler is a 3 chamber design which slams both exhaust banks into on another. That creates unwanted heat and added backpressure, which robs power and sound. The “Street Stock” muffler gives the 997.2TT a more menacing strong, linear, firing-order dominated flat-6 Porsche® sound while keeping the interior as quiet as stock. Equally important is the fact that this system is modular and can grow with your power and sound needs in the future.

The “Street Stock” muffler is the latest in a growing line of Brombacher exhaust systems. Brombacher exhausts are engineered for the discerning Porsche® owner and offer unmatched performance, unparalleled quality, and incredible value. All of our exhausts are manufactured by M&M Exhaust GmBH in Germany and are tested comprehensively for flow rate and characteristics, thermal stress, resistance to cracking, and longevity. To further ensure quality, all of our exhaust systems meet the standards of the German independent testing agency TÜV; whose quality standards are among some of the strictest in the world.

"Sport Stock" Catalytic Facts:

- + 21 crank hp & + 18 crank torque**
- 200 Cell “HD”, tri metal german HJS sport catalysts
- Reuses OEM muffler OR the FVD "Sport Stock" muffler.
- Tubing diameter is the same as the OEM system.
- Weighs 19 lbs. (8,6 Kg)
- T 316 stainless steel for improved durability over T 304.
- Reduces backpressure and thermal stress
- 5 on a scale of 1-10 in volume (1 being stock).
- Reuses OEM V band style connecting hardware.
- Made in Germany.
- Also available in 100 cell and cat bypass. Please ask your sales person for pricing.
- More distinguished growl at idle, partial throttle and wide open throttle.
- DME programming NOT necessary.
- Reuses OEM tips.

The FVD “Sport Stock” 200 cell “HD” cats will give the 997.2TT a more menacing growl while keeping the interior sound fairly close stock levels. The cats will free up unwanted backpressure and reduce thermal heat. These cats are the very latest from HJS is Germany. They are nicknamed “HD” for high durability matrix design catalytic converters. They have a SM-matrix (winding of three flat and corrugated foils) and a special connection to the matrix sheath, which equates to extremely high durability for track and street use.

The added benefit is that they DO NOT generate catalytic efficiency codes (CHECK ENGINE LIGHT) that most OEM 2009+ Porsche programs generate. HD cats are perfect for those who want to run sport cats without a software program.

**Please Note:
The 997.2 TT has a pressure sensor that measures backpressure. A lack of backpressure with any exhaust system and will be picked up by the sensor and adjust or reduce the power accordingly. With out a software file the exhaust system is just for sound only. Once a FVD program is added you will achieve 580 + Hp.

Hey Rhonda,

Whoever came up with this idea must have had a moment of inspiration

Would have been even better if there was an upgrade path to your full 3" system.

Good luck with the exhaust.

We certainly listen to the thoughts of our customers and yours was a great one!

M&M have been working hard on the path to the 3” system. I will post as soon as we are finished but it will take more time as the transition from the stock diameter to 3” is difficult to do without robbing power.

Thanks so much for the kind words!

Thanks @TTSurgeon . Looking forward to it. For some reason, this is a hard one to find online, perhaps because Brombacher has something like 4-5 different options.

Andy,

Unfortunately we don't have a video for that muffler. However, it is the same sound and tonal quality as our sound version mufflers with 200 cell cats, but with less decibels as you are still using the OEM cats. So it is about 40% quieter than the 200 cell version. Perfect for a daily driver or for someone who is looking for a quality flat 6 turbo sound without being too loud.

Hope that info helps and feel free to call me should you have any more questions.
Rhonda
