GMG exhaust

Hi!
I have an opportunity for a barely used GMG exhaust at a great price. Non-titanium version. Does include the 200 cell cats.

Any experience with this one? Reviews? Thoughts? Warnings? Wisdom?

Will be first mod to the 2007 997.1TT that I picked up about 6 months ago.

Thanks in advance!

I got a ride from Fabryce in the shop 997TT couple years ago and I loved the sound, definately plenty throaty. I think the tips that are built into it are great also.

I had the full system on my 07TT (headers back) plus GIAC flash. Great sound, perhaps a little noisy at 6 am for the neighbors although one looked forward to hearing the car every weekend.

I was complimented nearly every time I drove the car to an event specifically about the sound.

Performance was much improved over stock. See GMG site for dyno data. The numbers ring true.

I recommend these mods, just understand you won't be able to sneak around!

I have listened to multiple Turbo exhausts: Tubi, Cargraphic, AWE, BBI, GMG. Of all of these the GMG is the loudest, and most race-car like in its loudness level. Very deep throaty sound and just as "aggressive" as Cargraphic.

For a daily driver, might be a little too loud for most. For weekend cars: thrilling!

Got one, plus GIAC, diverters and air filter, for my 996ttS- no regrets whatsoever. Transforms the car. If you get one at a good price, don't hesitate.

jpw2b.....Did you ever end up getting the GMG? I can't decide between GMG or FVD.

Neither, RAC/RUF is doing the install. I'm still debating about flashing it at the same time. They are using a FVD flash with the GMG exhaust. Thoughts?

Oh okay. I am definitely going to do the FVD flash as well when the exhaust is installed...I've been told it will add more HP/TQ on top of what the exhaust alone will provide.

I'd like to find you at Cars and Coffee next month to hear it and see what you're driving impressions are of it and if the drone is acceptable, etc.

I have on my car, and my friend had the titanium version on his 997TT the best sound, I love it. Mine is loud as is a real 3'' with no cats.

Excellent - thanks for the feedback, and thanks to Can for his Exhaust Guide.

You should give a call to Todd.K/Protomotive and get his tune by far the best.
If you are interested ask him for a E85 tune, it like running on race gas all the time.
