1967 Mercury Montclair project
1967 Mercury Montclair project
I picked up a 1967 Mercury Montclair this summer with 32K original miles. Over the winter it is getting a glass-out paint job and all new chrome. The engine is removed for a refresh as well and a HEAVY degrease procedure. A new SAT-MP3 stereo/amp/speakers are going in as well. Enjoy! More pics to follow.

Engine block received new rod/main and cam bearings and degrease with a fresh coat of Ford blue paint. The intake will be blasted and painted as well with a new Holley 2-barrel carb found from a friend. Heads getting new valve seals and Ford blue treatment as well. Transmission getting new fluid and filter. No pics yet as I was involved in a serious car accident Jan 30th and have 7 screws in my right ankle and 4 broken ribs. I'll snap some when I am back at my shop full time. UPDATE: COMP upgraded street camshaft ordered.

Wow sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you have a speedy full recovery also

I think airbags would be bad *** on that car! What air ride kit would you use?

After going back-and-forth all winter between flat, gloss and all kinds of colors I decided on Trafalgar Blue, a stock color. The next old school car may get a different treatment.
Good luck with the project - planning on posting updates and pics along the way?
Once I can walk again on both feet and get around I'll snap photos.
