2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S Clear Bra Installation - San Antonio, Texas

2011 PORSCHE 911 TURBO S CLEAR BRA INSTALLATION - SAN ANTONIO, TX

XPEL Premium Film
Zero Orange Peel
Complete Wrapped Edges

Here are some pictures of the first Turbo S to make it to San Antonio. We installed a full frontal clear bra (Paint Protection Film) on this car, which covers the entire hood, both complete fenders and the front fascia.

All edges of the film were hidden where possible, including removing the headlamps and signals to tuck the film underneath. The Porsche badge on the hood was also removed during installation as was the front splitter and tow hook cover. The film was wrapped around the edges of the hood and fender edges as well as into the wheel arches and luggage compartment to make the product as invisible as possible.

XPEL Premium film was used for this installation, to prevent any detraction from the high quality Porsche factory paint job. This film has zero 'orange-peel' texture and blends seamlessly with any factory paint.

XPEL -

Looks great, and very well installed. Was thinking of a clear bra for my turbo as well (in dallas). Few questions around your product:

- What type of warranty does it come with against wear, fading, etc?
- What maintenance is recommended? (ex: orbital wax just like the rest of the car?)
- Any pictures of a car with XPEL, in the sun, where we could see a non-treated door next to the treated front of the car? Curious to see if there's any reflection difference in bright light.

appreciate the help

XPEL's Xtreme and Ultimate films come with a 7 year warranty against wear, fading, yellowing, cracking, bubbling, pealing.

We recommend using our sealant every 4 to 6 weeks in Texas. As the heat intensifies as we move to the summer months any clear bra will flex by expanding as the temp gets higher. Our sealant will fill in the pores of the film to help keep contaminants out that can discolor a bra.

As for our cleaner, always apply it when the protected surface is cool and wet. The cleaner will remove most junk out of a clear bra but a film can be harmed if the cleaner is used on a hot hood that is not already wet.

You can look for cleaner and sealant in our aftercare section at www.xpel.com.

As for wax, keep it natural. Stay away from waxes with naptha and petroleum based products. I would also shy away from Plexus. We have done some accelerated testing and Plexus over time can discolor your clear bra.

I apologoizes for not having a brighter day. I have some additional photos that I will post soon but I have to upload them to our media server first. This GT3 has the entire front clip covered in our film but the doors are unprotected. With our film products you will not be able to notice a difference in orange peel (if any) from your unprotected paint surface to our film.

I had your same full front kit in Premium Film installed by Jim Stangohr of Protech on my Cream White Turbo S. Absolutely stunning. I have used the 3M product before and this is noticeable better; really no comparison. The Xpel Premium is worth the extra money. My first impression was that the car had a deep wax shine.

Thank you very much. We are always pleased to hear about satisfied customers. By the way, look out for our newest film called Ultimate. It is as clear as the Premium but it has a true automotive clear coat built (for a stronger top coat) into the film. Ultimate also has self healing properties, so if you have a few small scratches just leave your car out in the sun for awhile and the scratches will begin to disappear.

XPEL, thanks for the info and added pics. I like hearing Ultimate has the clear coat built in.

I've been a fan of Griot's products so far (random orbital and wax), but looks like their wax options are petroleum based. I'll have to dig into it further and look at the solutions you listed. Thanks.
