Private party, No CPO........ 80K right. Although this time of year asking prices seem to be higher which is affecting the sellers asking price as dealers think warm weather means I am willing to pay more.

All things being equal, what should be the price premium for dealer/CPO vs. private party/no warranty?

Motul brake fluid for a daily driver and stainless steel brake lines? Only bringing to the OP's attention that the car has probably seen "some" track days.

CPO adds around $3k to a car versus one that is NOT CPO from a dealer. I think $80k seems right. From what I know this car has some decent mods on it, but usually mods do not add much in terms of resale value. It would be much better for the seller to take them off the car and sell them seperately if he/she is looking to get decent coin for them. The asking price of $94k is definitely too high, especially considering that 08's can be had for less than that and have warranty. Hope that helps.

I appreciate all the input. Very insightful.Would it be difficult to purchase a warranty for this car given the the upgrades? Could a warranty be bought from a authorized porsche dealership?

I bought my 2007 back in July, 2009 with 1800 miles on it for 92K. Car stickered over 140K! Bottom line is that you will pay more for a low mileage car in mint condition compared to a daily driver with higher mileage. 94K is too high IMO but a decent low mileage car (below 10K miles) should be around 80-85K. Sure there are cheaper cars out there, but you get what you pay for...As for a warranty, most Porsche dealers sell aftermarket warranties such as Fidelity and Easy Care. Do a search under this forum for more info. Good luck in your search!

lower 80's...no porsche dealer will sell you a warranty, maybe the original owner could by one, worth a phone call

some dealers will cpo a car for you but at considerable expense...our local dealer wanted me to sell them the car, cpo it, then resell it to me at a profit

there may be some aftermarket companies that sell warranties on a car like this but you would have to search for one

if you are worried about it, only buy a cpo car

Considerable expense, yep. I've been getting quotes for around $2500 for CPO being added by dealer at the purchaser's request.
