Looking for a C6 ZO6, What is the "right" price to pay

Hi, After being on this forum and seeing some very perfect examples of these cars i got very interested. Although i have never owned an american car and have actually never had any interest in owning one the ZO6 naturally caught my eye. Now, i am kind of shopping for one. So my question for you guys is what should i be paying. I am not looking for a brand new never driven nor a first year garage queen, I am simply looking for a good deal with great selling points ( right miles service history possible high end mods no accidents). THanks for your guys inputs. --Rob

Take a gander at their C6 "For Sale" section.
There are quite a few cars listed there which should give you a good cross section of asking prices.
It will vary based on miles and model year, so unless you specify those parameters, at a minimum, then a range of prices is hard to determine.
You can definitely pick one up in the $40k range, and I'd say up from there, based on year/miles/options.

ogomez79 is infamous around these parts
I'd say mid-low 40's for an 06-07 and up in price from there. You can pick up a very nice car in the 45-50k range if you want a lower mileage well cared for vehicle.

How many guys here went from a European car to a z06? Is it a tough transition. The allure for me is the exotic styling and the brute power and the fact it is a newer car all for around 45k. I really wanted a 996 turbo, and dont get me wrong it is a great car and is my first choice however i dont plan on dumping 30k in mods in it as some due which will make it "just" another P-car, considering they are 10 years old

Personally, between the two, I'd go with the 996TT.
I've driven C6 Z06's, and they lack a certain quality to their overall feel, and certainly in the quality of components.
Hate to say that, but it is true.
If you really want a Porsche, then take a good look in this forum's "For Sale" section.
You can pick up a few very nicely modded TT's in the $45-47k price range, and it will be built, tuned, and ready to go.

40k to 50k you can pick up a really nice c6 z06. You can also find some really nice modded out ones with a Twin Turbo, or a superchaged setup for around 55k to 60k. But it all depends on what you really want to do with the car.

keep in mind though if that TT breaks your wallet can take a serious hit.
